Innovating the Average Refrigerator
Releasing in 4-door 29 cubic feet, and
3-door 30 cubic feet models, Samsung has stated that the Company is launching
these Refrigerators by keeping two different aspects in mind, the
Refrigerator’s Customization and Personalization capabilities, along with the
implementation of new top-of-the-line innovation that are equipped to provide
the Customers with the most convenient Kitchen experience. This way, the
introduction of this Refrigerators aims to expand the Consumers’ choice for
different type Refrigerators, that are a vital household items nowadays in
Kitchens all over the World. In light of this aforementioned sentiment, Samsung
took it upon themselves to implement their ‘Family Hub’ feature into this
Refrigerator. Expanded and Updated for 2022, this will potentially allow
Customers to turn their Refrigerator into a proper Smart TV, with the
capabilities of listening to Music, Sharing Photos and Messages, or just simply
watching content through mirror share from their own Samsung Smart TV or Galaxy
Smartphone. Additionally, the Refrigerator will also now fully support a
built-in Alexa, enabling Consumers to Access numerous Services from their
Fridge, such as access to Amazon Music, Audible and Reading Kindle Books, all
now possible just from their Refrigerator.
The Personalization
Aspect
With regards to the Customization
options available in the Fridge, in will initially launch with a Variety of
different Colors and Finishes regarding the Fridge’s exterior look. 12
different styles of glass and steel finishes are reported to be launches in the
beginning. Furthermore, the Refrigerator will also include interchangeable and
fully customizable Panels, Doors and Handles. The unique aspect of these Panels
is the fact that Samsung will now allow Consumers to print their Photos, Images
or favorite artwork on their Refrigerator’s Double Doors. Hence, giving
consumers access to the ultimate personalization experience, as they can choose
to put their child’s doodles, their Good Graded Papers, or even their own
faces. However, not all images will be allowed as Samsung has stated that it
will continuously monitor the images requested by Consumers in order to filter
out images that they may deem as inappropriate or in violation of a certain
copyright. Samsung has also announced that it will charge a hefty fee of $250
per one panel, and it will take the Company around 8 weeks to print and ship an
image requested by a Consumer.
The Convenience Aspect
As mentioned prior, Samsung intends to implement a wide range of new and innovative technology into these Refrigerators, in light of this Samsung will be utilizing the latest Cooling and Storage Capabilities, these are intended to bring the Consumers the greater Customizable Cooling Options and Freshly Filtered Water. This is made possible by the introduction of the ‘Beverage Centre’, which when placed inside the Fridge, will automatically produce fresh and free of contamination Water through the use of the Dishwasher Safe and the BPA Autofill Pitcher. These also allow the Consumers the option to infuse the Water with fruits or herbs of their choice during the Water creation process. Along with this, Samsung has also introduced the ‘Big Veggie Box’, with the increase of fresh consumption in mind. This will allow fruits and vegetables to be stored in an unprecedented larger quantity and at the precise optimum temperature, therefore creating more room for fresher produce that will most certainly reduce the amount of rotten fruits or vegetable thrown away in an Average Household.
